Happy New Year!
The car
A big thank you to all who gave to the new car!
For those who don’t know what was going on: Wil had a car crash, a couple of weeks ago. The car was totalled, but Wil was ok, praise God.
And, as John always says: ‘it did not take the Lord by surprise, so He has made provision’, was true again. A mail went out for help and people responded! A couple from the network here in the Netherlands borrowed us their car for one week and after that week, a garage close by borrowed us a car for another week, so provision was made!
That same garage had a Renault Scenic from 2008 for sale, a diesel motor, automatic, low mileage. The moment we saw that car, it ‘clicked’ in our spirits and we knew that would be our new car.
The owner of the garage gave us one week to decide. Some money had come in already, but not the whole amount we needed to purchase the car, but we still had tremendous peace. So we trusted the peace, trusting the Father for His provision.
The evening before we had to decide, the last amount we needed came in as a personal loan, so we were able to buy that car.
So we want to thank all of you for helping us buying another car!
So wonderful to have a worldwide family, taking care of one another. What an example you are!
The CWOW Home
The date for our move to Herxen is set: March 25-26.
We are so exited, can’t wait to be there!
Still a lot of work to do, but we’re getting there. Our kids will help us move and some friends from the network too, but it seems wise to also hire a moving company for the ‘big and heavy stuff’ like washer, beds, closets, piano and such.
A big thank you to all donating for the CWOW home! We cannot do it without you.
The rent for the home is covered, but other costs will go up: costs for hosting people, transportation costs etc. So if you feel led to help us in that: welcome! Every euro counts J.
A new booklet!
It’s a booklet about women in ministry: ‘What About Women in Ministry?’. It will answer many question people might have, is easy to read, pulls history and scripture together, where it suddenly all makes sense!

The next international conference here in the Netherlands will be:

Family
We mentioned in the last newsletter about a job for Carsten in Prague.
He is there now, started his job and found a place to live in a student flat, 35 minutes from his work.
Not big, but good for now and when he and Nasta are married, they can look for a bigger apartment.
It all went very fast and we are now officially ‘empty-nesters’…
It does take some time to adjust…40 years of caring is over…and it went by so fast!
Philippians 3:13 is a Scripture the Lord spoke to me about:
‘One thing I do: forgetting (no longer care for) those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead’.
For us: the care for our children is now a different one, they are adults and can take care of themselves; of course we will be there for them when they need it. But the focus has changed:
we now have to reach forward to what lies ahead of us!
Follow the peace in your spirit, what we did with the car, the CWOW home, Carsten’s move to Prague and many, many more times in the past and see the provision unfold. Do not go by your mind and reasoning, but learn to trust the Father and His ways – He is Good!
That involves taking thoughts captive that are contrary to the peace you have or the words the Lord or Father spoke to you and that is work! But so worth it!
Forget those things in the past, reach forward to what lies ahead: a great and glorious future!
