Things the Father, Lord, or angels have said to me, 2 of 4

6/28/2025

Hi all,

Continuing with meaningful things the Father, Lord, or an angel said that changed me...

An angel's perspective on worship
I was on staff at a mega-church, and because of my position the pastor liked us to sit in the 2nd or 3rd row behind him. This matters because at the time the church met in a basketball arena, with the basketball court covered temporarily with carpet, and the congregation was in the arena seats above it, looking down at the floor. To the left was the worship team, in the middle was the pulpit, and to the right was open space to be used later for an altar call.

In the worship my eyes were suddenly opened to the Lord's realm. Just like with Elisha and his servant in II Kings 6:15-17 who saw both the natural army surrounding them and the angelic army surrounding them at the same time, so too were my eyes open to see both realms at once. This is most often what happens to me; I see both realms at the same time.

While the worship team was playing and singing to my left down on the floor, right in front of me in that open space were 50 or 60 angels all dancing together, following the worship team's worship (and the congregation's). What struck me was their child-like innocence. They appeared to be young men, early 30's, but with the innocence and sweetness of young children.

You've no doubt seen toddler boys and girls playing together and realized they don't have any idea that boys and girls are different from one another. In those toddler's understanding, the idea of gender isn't even in their minds - that's how these angels were, except the appeared to be men in their early 30's.

I looked over to the worship team and it was clear they didn't have a clue what was going on. My (guardian) angel was standing on the steps of the first row, below where I was standing. I looked at him and at that moment he turned around to look at me. I said:"You guys dance?!" His reply changed my perspective forever:

"That which is given from heaven, is enjoyed in both realms."

About 10 years earlier the Lord allowed me to have a visit to heaven. As we passed 2 young children playing, I noticed they were accompanied by 14 relatives, all a generation or more older - great grandparents, aunts and uncles and 'greats' of each, to about 4 or so generations, but their mom and dad weren't there. I asked about them missing and was told those children died in a car accident, and their parents are still on earth.

He said; "When it is possible, children are raised by relatives here in heaven." I asked for chapter and verse and he said:"Have you not read Ephesians 3:14-15 which says, 'For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole FAMILY in heaven and earth is named."? There is but ONE family. It doesn't matter whether in heaven or earth, there is but one family."

Many have written books, teachings, songs, poems and more that are truly heaven inspired, but may not ever be seen by others in this life. Some are confident the Lord told them their work will be seen by many, but it isn't happening and they wonder why. If it is given from heaven, in the age or ages to come these things will be seen, read, heard, and sung by others - your gift will see its intended purpose - but maybe not in this age. It is still heaven given however, so take heart!

Chris and his reward...
Our oldest son, Chris, was born by emergency C-section with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, which resulted in brain damage. As I write this he is 44, but mentally about 4 years old, with the innocence of a child. He was at home his first 24 years, but when his little brothers graduated high school and went off to further their education, we quickly realized how much they had helped, and their absence forced us into the realization we could not care for Chris and work at the same time.

We made the most difficult decision of our lives, to put him in a group home. After much searching we found a Christian founded one about 2 hours away. The night we got the call they could receive him, Barb and I cried many tears feeling like the worst people in the world, until she finally went to sleep. I remained awake talking to the Father. "Father, put his brain damage on me" was one thought before countering that with the right thought that Jesus did that. I then echoed what Barb and I had earlier prayed:"If you aren't going to heal him, then take him home. We've both been to heaven, and we know where he is going, so we'd rather miss him for even 50 years on earth if it means him being free from his damaged earth-body."

Suddenly Jesus stood in the room.
He didn't greet me like He normally does, He simply began:"Would you have Chris miss out on the fullness of his reward by me taking him home early, just because you feel bad about having to put him in a (group) home?" "No Lord, I'm sorry, I had not thought of Chris' reward. I (we) want him to have the fullness of his reward, but under a couple of conditions:That he not suffer abuse nor neglect." With a single downward shake of His head He said:"Done" and disappeared.

As of this writing Chris has been there over 22 years, and it was very rough at first. But now he enjoys his group home during the week, and coming home on Fridays when he tells staff:"Dad's coming Friday!" He loves his Friday night dinners Barb makes for him, and Saturday morning sleeping in. Most mornings he lays in bed an hour or so and watches his favorite shows or movies we have on DVD. I take him back on Saturday afternoon.

One day as he and I drove into town to run errands, and his play list on my phone was playing on the car, I inwardly sighed at hearing the same children's songs going on now for some 40 years straight. He reached age 4 mentally and then just stopped, so its been over 40 years of that age level songs. I said within myself:"Father, I'm tired so tired of Donut Man, Veggie Tales and Barney. I long for an adult relationship with my son." Suddenly as I drove my eyes were opened to a screen like a TV in the air in front of the car. This was the scene:

I was in heaven standing next to Chris who was seated and talking to many people sitting on the ground in front of him. I could only see the top of Chris' head and his shoulders as I was standing by his left shoulder. But he was normal size, not like he is now in his wheelchair. I am 6'6" tall (1.9m) and he would be my size if he was normal, but he has Barb's side of the family big bone structure as well. I was impressed with what a big man he is in heaven.

I asked:"Father, what am I seeing?"
"You're seeing Chris in heaven." "What is he doing?" "He is telling people what it was like to be trapped in a flawed and imperfect body, telling them of his life and what he was thinking and whaty he learned at various times in his life." Then it was gone. It was the Father's graciousness to encourage me and Barb not to be weary in well doing, for this life is not all there is.

One day Chris will be whole. He loves the Lord, and is quite content waiting to heaven to be whole, which is frustrating for us his parents, but that is where he is in his faith. We are one family in heaven and earth. Things given from heaven are enjoyed in both realms.

I include this to encourage anyone and everyone, whether you've lost a love one to heaven, or care for a 'special child' or someone who was once 'normal' but is now doing downhill or has suffered an injury. This is not all there is. There is a heavenly future, for in the big picture, this life is a tiny part of our eternal life and the ages to come. Learn what we can, develop Christ-like character, and walk with God. Know what you can, but be content for now with the 'secret things belong to God'. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Things the Father, Lord, or angels have told me 1 of 4

6/21/2025

Hi all,

I felt led to share some things I've been taught that had an impact on my life. Not necessarily in chronological order, though I will start with my teen years.

One of the first things I studied as a 16 year old was the ministry of Jesus.
I saw that wherever He went, He got the highest and best results He could have for any given situation. I wasn't looking at what He said or what He did, but more about the context in which He spoke or did, especially the people around Him. Sometimes He was very limited by the people. For instance, when His home town rejected Him, Mark 6:5-6 says:

"And He was not able to do any work of power there, except He laid hands on a few weak/sickly people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief, and went around their villages teaching."

As I was thinking on this fact, and how that same circumstance happens in our day, this is exactly how I thought it:"Even when limited by the unbelief of others, Jesus still was able to do 100% of what He could in the given situation. And the solution to unbelief is balanced, Spirit-led teaching and a willingness to accept change." The Father immediately broke into my thoughts saying:

"Jesus is 100% my Word, therefore He got 100% results wherever He went, according to how they allowed Him. Therefore, the amount of the (Spirit inspired) Word allowed in any given situation, is directly proportional to the results."

I was taking high school chemistry during that time of my life, and the phrase 'directly proportional to the results' was used often. It means one's actions and the outcome are directly related. It means you have 2 variables that are directly related, and the result (in chemistry) is predictable.

In this setting, Jesus is one variable for John 3:34 says the Father gave Him the Spirit 'without limit'. So with Jesus, because He had the Spirit without limit, anything was possible. (We are told we have the Spirit with limitations, I Corinthians 12:1) The other variable is His audience, which in this case was full of unbelief. Not lack of faith, but rather full of unbelief. By following the Father's leading, Jesus was able to get the highest and best result in a setting full of unbelief - He was extremely limited, but He still got the highest and best for that situation.

That set the course of my life in a way I didn't realize at the time. It meant for instance if I was teaching people who don't believe in healing, I would have to limit my teaching to not mention that. Or, I would teach it but they would be challenged. But still, in that hypothetical situation I was imagining as a 16 year old, the Father would move through me to get the highest and best result for that situation. It meant I was never to just come up with a message, but wait for direction on what the Father wanted me to teach or do, and that way I'd get the highest and best results - that He wanted - in any given situation.

I determined right then in my heart that I would be like Jesus, doing only what He saw the Father do, sharing what the Father taught Him.* I became determined to get 100% of possible results in any given situation, as the Lord did (and still does). I also saw Mark 4:30 that Jesus, "...spoke to the people as they were able to receive it." Here is a fine line between pushing that boundary and going over it. As they were able to receive it. Key point! *John 5:19, 30

Something fun to think about, and Barb and I still talk of the future often:
I was 16 or maybe just turned 17:Father:"When you receive your glorified body you'll find it's not subject to the natural laws of the earth." Me:"What do you mean?" Father:"If you want to walk you can walk, if you want to run you can run. If you want to float you can float, if you want to fly you can fly. If you want to be somewhere, you can be there at the speed of thought."

Years later when I was condemning myself for some sin I had asked forgiveness for.
I was quoting I John 1:9, which says:"If we confess (admit) our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I was thanking the Father for forgiving me as I was driving along one sunny day, specifically saying:"Thank you Father for being faithful to me, thank you Father for being faithful to me to forgive me..." when the Father interrupted my thanksgiving:

"I'm not being faithful to you. I'm being faithful to the work of my Son on the cross."

Wow, that changed me. I realized my sin had nothing to do with anything. There was no heavenly coin toss to see if He would forgive. The grievance I felt was my own spirit somehow 'bruised' and needing time to recover the stain of sin, though the sin itself was instantly forgiven. The 'bruise' that lingered was that I might learn my lesson, just as the Father leaves our memories of our past life before Christ in our minds, that we might remember and appreciate His grace and not return to where we have been. If a person 'bruises' their spirit (best way to describe it) repeatedly, they will lose their sensitivity to that sin and get to the point Paul wrote of sinners 'who are past feeling.' That sensitivity can be restored, but refraining from that sin, and focusing on walking in the Spirit.

Years later again, I was once again thanking Him...
This time I was again thanking Him for being faithful to the work of Jesus on the cross, in His forgivenss of sin in I John 1:9. I was condemning myself again. (I am my own worst enemy, always have been, though I've softened a bit over the years). I was telling the Father:"Father, I know better, I am SO sorry, at this point in my life I know better than to sin, I'm SO sorry Father." Suddenly the Father broke in, saying this about I John 1:9:

"Notice he said 'we'. If 'we' confess our sin." I reacted immediately, amazed that the age apostle John, in about the year 95, shortly before his death, wrote; "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." Even then, he was sinning. He could have written; "If you confess your sin..." but he wrote; "If we confess our sin." Wow. That changed me.

Once again I realized the Father was looking at the big picture. That He invited each of us to call Him Father, knowing that while in these frail and sin proned bodies, we would sin all our lives, just as the great apostle wrote. If we confess our sins...

About 1989 Jesus said this...
It was during a visitation on a whole other subject, that He turned to leave, but then turned back. Normally in visitations He will leave by turning, then take one, then a second, and then lift his leg for a 3rd step, at which He simply disappears. I know He is setting that foot down in someone else's room, service, or such.

But this time He took one step then stopped and turned around. "You know, people get saved for Ephesians 2:6. I knew what Ephesians 2:6 says:"(The Father) has raised us up and made us sit together with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." So I asked, "What do you mean?"

He replied in part:"People get saved for a variety of reasons, like they have a crisis or trauma, so seek me, or they are seeking the truth and the Father draws them to me. Ephesians 2:6 represents your righteousness and authority in me." The He turned His head a bit and smiled broadly:"But the Father and I saved you for verse 7!" And He turned and walked away, disappearing with that 3rd step.

Verse 7 continues:"So that in the ages to come He (Father) may show us the exceeding riches of His grace which is towards us through Christ Jesus." The ages to come...the Father and Lord are looking at the big picture when we will have glorified bodies that can' sin, and we therefore will have no desire to sin, our spirit and soul and body will be one in righteousness forever.

Amazing grace, and I pray this installment gives you that sense of the Father's love and grace towards us, especially if you are like me, your own worst enemy....I'll continue next week. Until then, blessings,

About Demons, 3 of 3, Open doors

6/14/2025

Hi all,

Last week I shared the most important parable Jesus taught, which reveals the only 5 categories of attack Satan can bring:Pressures of life and opinions (persecution) against us, brought on by the open door of that person not being rooted and grounded in unconditional love. And, the love for the things of the world, deceitfulness of going after money and status, and lusts for things, happens to a believer who allows these 'weeds' to grow up in their hearts right alongside Jesus and what He is doing. Both open the doors for demonic attacks.

Demons often use people around us
Within those 5 categories come the attacks, often through people we know. Many of us have perceived of times we were under demonic attack:A demon of strife enters a relationship, perceived when a simple difference between friends or family escalates to strife and hard feelings, is one example. Weird dreams that weren't from something we watched on TV or in a movie or something we read. Things like that are unprovoked attacks from a demon, in my experience they are testing to see if there is an opening for something bigger in a person's life, and sometimes, just to harrass us.

Those attacks come and go, for demons are also just individuals who constantly seek an opening into this natural realm (and they can't read your mind). Luke 4:13 says of Satan:"When he had finished every temptation, he left Him for a season." The Greek says it this way:"...he left Him until a more opportune time." It could be said that when Jesus was asleep in the boat while the storm raged, that was a time Satan attacked to try to kill Him. We could also look at His first message in His home town when they tried to throw Him off a cliff in Luke 4:29, and later, in John 8:59 when they were going to stone Him to death. Satan looks for an opportunity as we go about our lives.

One of the best examples of demons using people in our circle of friends is how Satan used Judas to betray Jesus, indicating very often the devil will use someone close to us. "Haven't I chosen you, yet one of you has a demon?" John 6:70, 13:27 Satan also tried to use Peter against Jesus. We remember Peter's insistence in Matthew 16:23 that He not go to the cross as a temptation to which Jesus replied:"Get behind me Satan." Satan cannot get at our spirit directly, so he must attack us from the outside through others.

This would agree with I Peter 5:8 which says:"Be serious and vigilant, for your adversary the devil, is walking about like a hungry lion seeking whom he may devour." The construction of the sentence suggests permission. The Greek says:"Seeking whom to devour."

But we should not be afraid of demons or demonic attack
Jesus made it very clear:"Those who believe in my name will cast out demons..." Mark 16:17. He never said to ask Him to take them away, in fact Paul had to learn that lesson when 'an angel of Satan' was assigned to him by Satan to prevent the abundance of his revelations of the Lord and what we have in Christ from being made known. (Remember from Mark 4 that the devil comes to steal the Word sown in our hearts). Paul was told 3x, no, the Lord would not take it away. He had to learn to deal with demons like the rest of us - command them away. Simply obey Jesus folks, set your will, then command spirits attacking you to leave in the name of Jesus. II Cor 12.

When I've had a demon use someone to attack me, perceiving it was more than a personality conflict, I've said:"I command the spirit using _____ ______ against me to stop and be cast out in the name of Jesus. If _____ ____ wants to keep you, I command you not to speak or use him against me anymore in the name of Jesus." Then I have asked the Father to put a buffer between us, and asked the Father for angelic protection. And it always works out exactly like that.

Unbelieving the lie
We look to Genesis and how Satan entered into this world through deceiving Eve and getting Adam to commit treason. (I Timothy 2:14 and Hosea 6:7 tell us he was not deceived, he knowingly transgressed the covenant) In that exchange of Genesis 3, Satan presented a lie to Adam and Eve before they committed the sin. Learn this:Believing a lie comes before a sin. If a person has a sin issue in their life, it can be traced back to a lie that they may not even realize was a lie that they believed.

We see this today - most often there is a lie that is believed and taken to be a truth, then the sin happens. A person may believe the lie 'I was born this way', so enter into an ungodly sexual lifestyle. A person may believe 'I am ugly' and begin starving themselves or eating to morbid obesity. A young man or woman may enter military service or be driven in the corporate world not for themselves, but because they believed the lie if they did thus and so, mom or dad would finally be proud of them.

A man or woman struggling with porn needs to go back to the first of those types of images seen, often as a child, or an experience they had when much younger, and discover the lie that was presented to them at that time:"That's what women are for" or "It is my fault this happened to me" or "It's okay to see them if they offer themselves that way" and things like that - you understand what I'm talking about. The same for food, "I always feel better with a bowl of ice cream" or the other way, "I am too fat now/don't like myself so can't eat or it will make me look fat", and so on.

A person might believe the lie they are ugly and won't amount to anything, and that lie lets in other stronger lies, all of which are spirits, one opening the door for the other. "I won't amount to anything in life" lie spirit lets in hopelessness, then discouragement, self-loathing, hatred, despondency, depression, suicide. One building on another.

To be delivered and healed emotionally, a person must un-believe the lies that they have believed.
In John 8:44 Jesus said when Satan speaks a lie he is by himself. But it takes 2 to be in agreement. So when a person agrees with a lie that Satan speaks, it allows demons into their lives and to them, that lie becomes a truth. As they go deeper into 'their truth' they are pulled deeper into darkness.

It is like a large tree full of fruit. People try to get better by plucking fruit - renew the mind here on healing is one fruit. Learn about emotional damage is another fruit. Learning about physical exercise or nutrition may be other fruits on the tree the person seeks in order to effect healing in their emotions and body. They look for a way for the Lord to heal or deliver them, while just plucking the fruit not the root.

But the truth is under the ground (in their heart, unseen) of that tree is a root system. Deep in their heart is a lie they believed when much younger. IF that person will stop being distracted trying to pluck fruit to change their lives, and go to the lie and lies they believed which are the trunk providing nourishment to the fruit, they can be healed and delivered. Deal with the root, not the fruit.

It is often a process of undoing layers of lies, un-believing one by one over time. But once you understand that lies come before sins, you can find the keys to unlock healing and deliverance, forever shutting the door on the lies of Satan. A person cannot hold onto the lie while grasping the truth and expect to be delivered and healed. James says a double mind person can't receive anything from the Lord. (1:6-7)

This is so much on this subject that could be said. But know this. Demons are just individuals who come to steal Christ and His work from your heart. Your will is sovereign and stronger than any demon - not even God can make you do anything. Millions of people all over the world, who don't know God, set their will and just be sheer will power, overcome demonic addictions and mental issues, every day of every year. Willpower lets the demons know you aren't going back to the old way. The name of Jesus enforces that, but you must set your will.

New subject next week, until then, blessings,

About demons 2 of 3. The only 5 things Satan can use

6/7/2025

Hi all,

Did you know there are only 5 areas in which the Adversary can attack us?

The only 5 ways Satan can attack
In Mark 4 Jesus told the Parable of the Sower, then begins to explain it to them in v13, making this statement:"Don't you understand this parable? How then can you understand any parable?" THIS parable is key to understanding all Jesus' parables. Let Jesus' statement sink in. If you don't understand this parable you won't understand any of His parables. This parable holds the key to interpret all parables in the gospels, and even a few things in the Old Testament that we understand through the eyes of the New Testament. This is because it outlines what Satan can do, how he does it, and how the kingdom of God grows within us.

The parable is about a farmer who plants seed in the earth, the kind of soil, and what happens to the seed.

In v14 He says the farmer plants the Word. Now remember, there is no New Testament written yet. What did the disciples understand the Word to be? Remember John 1:1 and 14? "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God...The Word became flesh and lived among us." When they heard 'the Word' in the parable, they knew Jesus was talking about Himself. We need to make that adjustment as well. The Word is planted in a person's heart - they are born again, Christ in them the hope of glory.

Satan tries to steal Jesus and His work from our heart
Jesus reveals all 5 ways he attacks:"The Word (Christ Jesus) is planted on stony ground, so the Word (Christ Jesus) springs up for a time, but because they have no root in themselves, they stumble when affliction (circumstances) or persecution (people's opinions) arise for the Word's sake.

Notice the pressure of circumstances and the opinions of others (persecution) come to steal the Word (Christ) and His efforts in our lives. It isn't about you, it is about Christ in you. But the open door is internal:'...because they have no root in themselves.' The Bible interprets the Bible, so we find in Ephesians 3:17-18 that if we are 'rooted and grounded in (agape') love...we will be able to comprehend the love of Christ...which is beyond mere head knowledge.'

People who have had in their upbringing and current life, a lack of unconditional love, have an internal weakness resisting the pressure of circumstances and the opinions of others. The lack of unconditional love in a child leads to an internal insecurity that makes them stumble in life when the pressures of life or opinions of others come against them.

Maybe some readers also had or have a lack of unconditional love, no rooting and grounding in that, which causes them to weaken in difficult circumstances or when people come against them - Satan sees that insecurity and lack of love, and brings fear, insecurity, worry, confusion and more to such a person - all due to not knowing the unconditional love of Christ. Mentally you know the Father and Jesus love you (or maybe you know Jesus does but you are afraid of the Father due to a cruel male figure?) - becoming secure in the Father by getting to know Him takes time.

Jesus then lists 3 external things Satan uses, but still, an internal issue
"And some seed (Christ in the heart) is planted in the midst of thorns..." Remember, the earth is the human heart, which has good and desirable plants growing out of it - those plants are our lives, job, family, friends, etc. The thorns or weeds are there in the person's heart as well. The person allows these weeds to grow right next to the Word as they go through life. Jesus goes on to explain:

"...among thorns. But the cares of this world (caring for the world), the deceitfulness of riches, and lusts for other things, enter into their lives and choke off the Word that had been sown into their hearts, and it becomes unfruitful."

These 3 have nothing to do with an internal lack of love:They may be rooted and grounded in love. But alongside of Christ in them, they allow the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches and lusts for things to grow up right alongside Christ in their hearts, and slowly these weeds choke off the life of God in them. They want Jesus - but they also love the world so want and seek the things of the world.

So there you have it:Circumstances, opinions, cares of the world, deception related to money, lusting for things.
Those are the 5. Every attack you experience in life from the enemy, will fall into one of those categories.

What I see is 2 solutions. One is get yourself rooted and grounded in the Father's unconditional love. Do this by talking to Him conversationally, switching your focus to your spirit, and sit and listen to His presence inside. Wake up saying 'Thank you Father' and continue through the day with any good or unexpected thing that comes your way. For the negative ask what He wants you to learn. You will over time become rooted and grounded in that love, and as Ephesians 3:15-17 says, you will be strengthened with might by His Spirit  in your inner man. You will know the Father loves you, knows you, communicates to your spirit with His presence and peace.

Second, uproot the desires in your heart for the things of this world, desires for riches and status, and get rid of lusts for things. Instead of your life revolving around the world and its appearance and desires, and you just add Jesus to your life, rearrange your heart to by all about the Father and Jesus, and arrange your life around seeking and growing in Christ.

If you deal with these 2 core issues in your heart, you will shut the door on the devil. He can still attack, but it will be from a distance, or through others, as he can't get up close to you because you've shut the doors of your heart and mind in these things.

How does one repent and retreat from caring for this world, the riches in it, and desires for things? Like Moses, who it says in Hebrews 11:25-27, "esteemed the reproach of Christ as greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he remembered/valued the reward (heaven)." This is a simple repentance in the heart, then an applied discipline to live within one's means, to back away from pride and ego, and that is done by a greater revelation of Him. Once you truly know Him, all else fades.

We will close it out next week. Until then, blessings,
